Child Seat Safety

As parents we want more then anything for them not to grow up so fast but then we do things like turn them forward facing the day after their first birthday, and get rid of the car seat altogether on their 6th birthday. Why are we in such a hurry to change or get rid of something thats only purpose is to protect our child. Im going to go with the advice of safety experts when it comes to my child and not to the low standards set by our government.
