U.S. says brakes to blame in Afghan crash

KABUL, Afghanistan - A road crash that triggered deadly anti-American rioting in Kabul occurred because a military truck lost its brakes coming down a hill and plowed into a line of cars, the U.S. military said Tuesday.
The driver, very experienced in the operation of this type of vehicle, a heavy cargo truck, applied the primary and emergency brakes and took evasive action to avoid hitting pedestrians," Collins said.
The truck hit several unoccupied parked cars in an effort to slow, but it wasn't enough, and the truck hit occupied vehicles at an intersection, he said.

I have a husband

I just wanted to take some time and remind people that I have a husband. His name is Casey and he is in Afghanistan. Some of you used to see him on a weekly basis or even more. Im really feeling that our church family has forgotten him. Nobody has written him. I really need our church family to support him. Mercy church doesn't just pray for the lost, they pray and then they physically go out and get people saved. In the same way I think my husband needs support. Prayers are great, but to physically take the time and ask him how he's doing and just be a part of his life while he is gone, that's what we really need. I am asking his Friends, his cell leader, his cell group, and our pastors to please take an active part in Casey's life as if he was home. Help make the time go faster, Lets bless him so he can bless others.

If you need his email address or physical address just call me or email me I have it here and waiting.

New Milestone: SOLID FOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so Nehemiah turns 6 months next week and has been showing interest in soild food for about 2 weeks. Today i was emotionally ready and so the fun has begun. He absolutly loved it, as you can see. Who knew rice cereal and formula could be so fun together. We also started with the sippy cup, which is more of a toy right now then a drinking device. We hope Daddy enjoys the pictures and we cant wait for him to come visit so he can feed his son.

Bath Time With Nana

Nehemiah has graduated from the infant tub to the kitchen sink. This sitting up thing is just blowing me away. Although we have to watch him close because he sees his feet in the water and makes an instant nose dive to try and get them in his mouth. That's where the bath toys come in hand to distract him from his feet. In case you didn't know Nehemiah is a big fan of his Nana. Nana has been helping us with bed time because mommy is trying to cough her brains out and Nehemiah does not find that soothing for falling asleep. Although the bacteria that tried to call my body home is being killed by good old antibiotics, and Nehemiahs eye infection is clearing up nicely. We went to the Doctor yesterday and in order for us to be seen together, we both had to see a pediatrician. He was nice ...he gave mommy cough syrup with codeine in it...So he was very nice!

oh yeah try and ignore the baby man boobies. Thanks!

Nehemiahs new favorite toy

So it only took about 3 times before he became a pro at this.
